Since the mid-1920's when, Richard and Donald Rheem acquired a small galvanizing plant, the Rheem name has stood for innovation in manufacturing. Rheem's product line continued to expand through the first half of the century and during the 1950's produced an air conditioning system to go along with their already successful heating units. In the 1970's Rheem brought new state of the art manufacturing facilities on line to produce the most complete line of residential heating and cooling products in the industry.

Today, the Rheem Air Conditioning Division is one of the largest North American manufacturers of residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems that are the choice of homeowners, contractors and small businesses worldwide.

Rheem continues to stand as leaders in efficient manufacturing procedures, innovative design and computer technology with every product we produce.

However, it's more than just the latest technology that makes Rheem products a great value. It's also the commitment of Rheem's people to quality and service in every system we produce.

This commitment to quality has resulted in Rheem achieving the stringent standards of ISO 9002 certification from the International Standards Organization.

Compare and we believe you'll agree, if it works like a dream, it works like a Rheem.

A High Efficiency Rheem Air Conditioner Can Be Matched To Fit Your Home Comfort Needs.

If you're like most people, you've always wondered how a central air conditioning system works. Well, it's really quite simple.

The air conditioning system consists of an outdoor unit with a compressor, fan, and a coil; and an indoor furnace or air handler and an indoor coil. Indoor air is blown across the indoor coil which removes heat and moisture from the air. The air also travels across a filter where dust and pollen are removed. This cooler, drier, filtered air is then transported through the ductwork into your home, making it cool and comfortable. The refrigerant in the indoor coil absorbs the heat from the indoor air that is blown across the coil by the

air handler or furnace. The refrigerant transports the heat it has absorbed to the outdoor coil. Air blowing across the outdoor coil transfers the heat to the atmosphere and the process starts again.

Your complete air conditioning system should be properly matched and sized for optimum efficiency. Your Rheem dealer can determine the solution that's best for your home comfort needs.

Rheem offers a wide variety of air conditioning equipment in capacities from 1.5 to 5 tons. Efficiencies are determined by the S.E.E.R. ratings of the system. S.E.E.R. stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating. Similar to miles per gallon for an automobile, the higher the S.E.E.R. number the more efficient the air conditioning system.
